MADISON, S.D. -- Crystal Franklin had seven kills and five block assists as the Dickinson State volleyball team won its 11th consecutive match Friday night with a Dakota Athletic Conference sweep of Dakota State.
Ruth Johnson and Courtnie Trustem each had seven kills and two block assists as the Blue Hawks won 25-15, 26-24, 25-15. They visit Mayville State at 7 p.m. today.
DSU head coach Ryan Platt said the team was strong in Games 1 and 3, but nearly let the game slip away through seven service errors.
"It was real hard to get in any rhythm there," Platt said. "Our hitting kept us in it and we steadied out. Other than that, it was very good."
DSU improved to 17-12 and 11-1 in the DAC.
