Philadelphia Eagles rookie quarterback Carson Wentz has signed a four-year contract with the team, according to published reports.
Wentz's deal is reportedly worth $26.67 million and included a signing bonus of $17.6 million. The deal is fully guaranteed.
Wentz was the second overall pick in last month's NFL draft behind Jared Goff, who went to the Los Angeles Rams.
The North Dakota State product is expected to compete with holdover Sam Bradford for the starting quarterback job. Bradford initially requested a trade after Philadelphia traded up to get to the No. 2 overall pick that it eventually used on Wentz before recently relenting.
