FARGO - Police are asking the public to make way early next week for a film crew from ESPN for a shoot related to the upcoming NFL Draft in Fargo.
In a statement on Friday, police announced that Broadway will be closed to all traffic between Second Avenue North and Fourth Avenue North between 6 and 9 a.m Monday while a crew films a segment for the cable sports network.
Fargo Police Lt. Joel Vettel said ESPN is filming “for a show that is going to be produced later on” in relation to the NFL Draft. The draft is scheduled for April 28-30 in Chicago.
Former North Dakota State quarterback Carson Wentz has been projected by some to be drafted near the top of the first round of the upcoming NFL Draft.
No parking will be allowed on Broadway in that area from midnight to 9 a.m. Any cars still parked on Broadway at 6 a.m. will be removed by police.
The US Bank parking lot will still be accessible, although access from the west will be closed off.
Businesses in that section of Broadway will be accessible to pedestrians, police said, but warned that movement may be restricted at times due to the filming.
Broadway should reopen to all traffic at 9 a.m.
“We have been notified that they might be doing other shots in other locations around the community,” Vettel added.
