SIDNEY, Mont. -- Alexis Fleener was a one-girl wrecking crew Tuesday as she led the Sidney softball team to a 6-0 victory over Dickinson.
Fleener, a sophomore, struck out eight and went 3-for-3 at the plate with a two-run homer and two doubles.
Briana Farnsworth threw only one inning but was saddled with the loss for Dickinson.
Ashley Krieg, Danielle O'Donnell and MacKee Hoffman had the only hits for Dickinson. Hoffman led off the seventh inning with a triple.
"We've just got to be a little more patient at the plate," Dickinson coach Bill Butterfield said. "We're swinging at some bad pitches."

Dickinson plays Dawson County (Mont.) at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Gress Complex.
