CASSELTON -- Justin Fletschock has been teaching for 13 years. He's coached the Central Cass High School baseball team since 2001 and he's also served as the school's athletic director for the last five years.
Starting July 1, Fletschock is exchanging all those jobs for one title.
Fletschock was named the new Assistant to the Executive Secretary of the North Dakota High School Activities Association last week and will replace Sheryl Solberg who is retiring at the end of the school year.
"I hope I can bring a new perspective into the new position," said Fletschock, who will complete the 2011-12 school year and baseball season at Central Cass.
"It's an interesting job for me. If you combine my athletic experience with my teaching background, it's a good fit."

Fletschock will serve as the administrator for girls sports, boys and girls swimming, cross country, track and the NDHSAA Distinguished Student program.
"He brings a lot of energy to the position," said NDHSAA Executive Secretary Sherm Sylling. "He has a lot of athletic administration experience in Casselton and we're really excited to have him aboard. He was very highly thought of by the administrators at Central Cass."
Fletschock will be responsible for organizing state and regional tournament sites and schedules, organizing state officials to work events and tournaments, and work closely in rules interpretation.
"Hopefully I'll be able to work along with Sherm (Sylling) and add something to the office," Fletschock said. "It's going to be a challenge, but I like challenges. It's a statewide position and I'll get a chance to meet and work with different people across the state."
Fletschock has managed NDHSAA district and region tournaments in basketball, volleyball, wrestling and track as the athletic director at Central Cass. He also serves on the NDHSAA baseball advisory committee.
Solberg served in the position for the last 34 years and Fletschock said he plans on using her as a reference.
"I expect to be calling her a lot," Fletschock said. "I'm pretty sure I'll have her number on speed dial. With all her experience and expertise with the position, I'd be a fool not to call her."
