Morgan Wardner, a senior quarterback for the Dickinson High football team, led the Midgets to their first win of the season. Wardner had two passing touchdowns, a pair of rushing touchdowns and a 29-yard interception return score during Dickinson's 34-28 victory over Williston on Friday, Oct. 5 from the Biesiot Activities Center.
DP: What was the key to victory against Williston?
MW: "The key to victory was playing as a team and focusing and never giving up. The whole game, we kept grinding till the end of the game."
DP: What are the goals for the rest of the year?
MW: "The goal for the rest of the year is to get those two games and get a victory in them. Play our hardest and hopefully make the playoffs."
DP: What other sports or clubs do you participate in?
MW: "I participate in hockey and baseball."
DP: When did you start playing football?
MW: "I started playing football when I was six, I think."
DP: What do you like most about the sport of football?
MW: "I love being surrounded by your team, taking a win with your team, always being there with each other, like a family together as a group."
DP: Who is the funniest teammate?
MW: "The funniest teammates is probably Kyler Benefit, he just says the funniest things."
DP: If there is one thing you can eat for the rest of your life, what would it be?
MW: "If I could eat one thing for the rest of my life, it would probably be pizza."
DP: Any particular toppings?
MW: "Pepperoni is my favorite."
DP: What is the best tv show or movie that you've watched recently?
MW: "The best tv show or movie that I've watched recently is probably Black Panther. I don't watch movies that often."
DP: Who is you celebrity crush?
MW: "My celebrity crush is probably Selena Gomez."

MW: "Probably snapchat."

MW: "Oh, that's a good one. I'd probably go with hip hop."

DP: Who is your biggest inspiration to succeed?
MW: "My biggest inspiration for succeeding is my grandpa. He's been there for me, he's motivated me, and he's taught me a lot, almost everything I know."
