OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- Acacia Fossum took 12th at the Region IV Level 9 Juniors gymnastics championship meet on April 9.
Fossum, an 11-year-old sixth-grader from Taylor-Richardton Elementary School, had an all-around score of 33.100. She finished ninth on the vault with an 8.450 and was 10th in the floor exercise (8.450), balance beam (8.325) and uneven parallel bars (7.875).
Chantel Urlacher, a 15-year-old freshman at Dickinson High, took 24th in the Level 8 Supergroup competition on April 10. She had a 9.275 on the vault and finished with a 35.225 all-around score.
Urlacher had a 8.750 on the balance beam, a 8.650 on the floor and an 8.550 on the bars.
Both Fossum and Urlacher are members of the Dickinson Gymnastics Club.
