GIRLS BASKETBALL

Kelly Pierce has been a head basketball coach in the Hettinger/Scranton area for over 20 years. He accepted a position to become the superintendent of Scranton Public School, thus resigning as head coach of the Hettinger-Scranon girls basketball team.
The games kick off at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 12 at the Bismarck Event Center.
"We got good looks at the basket, but there are going to be some nights where the ball just doesn't go through the hoop and unfortunately tonight was one of those nights,” said coach Devan Douglas.
The All-Region team and award winners were announced at the conclusion of the Region 7 tournament.
