DHS girls hit the links at Bismarck Invite
BISMARCK — After a 10-day break, West Region girls golf continued at the Bismarck Invitational from the Tom’ O’Leary Golf Course on Friday, Sept. 7.
Three golfers from Dickinson High participated in the event with freshman Lola Homiston shooting the team’s lowest mark of 96. Junior captain Shelby Steier followed with a score of 101, 13 strokes ahead of eighth-grade teammate Hazel Emter.
Bismarck Century eighth-graders Hannah and Leah Herbel topped the individual leaderboard, aiding the Patriots to the overall victory with a team score of 319. Mandan claimed second place with a mark of 337, three swings ahead of third-place Minot.
Hannah Herbel won the medalist award with a tournament-low mark of 74.
