CASPER, Wyo. -- Dickinson State junior Bobbi Grann began her run at the women's all-around national championship with a time of 14.25 seconds in the barrel racing on Monday at the College Nationals Finals Rodeo.
The time placed Grann, a Sheyenne native, third in the first of three go-rounds at the rodeo. DSU's Victoria Netzer finished 13th in the first round with a 14.59-second run.
In the goat tying, Grann was 24th with a run of 7.6 seconds on Monday. Her teammate, Laura Waldo, took 30th in 8.4 seconds. They both compete again Tuesday in the second round.
DSU senior Ashley Schaper caught a 3.9-second loop on her first breakaway roping run, but the Halliday native missed on her second-round throw.
Jessica Ehlers, a Reeder native who attends Northwest College in Wyoming, had a 3.2-second run on Sunday. She goes again Tuesday.

DSU senior Riley Knoll scored a 67.5 in his opening saddle bronc ride Sunday. He rides again Tuesday.
Casey Breuer, a Mandan native who competes for Gillette (Wyo.) Community College, took a no score in his first bareback ride Sunday, but had a 73.5 in the second go Monday.
Derek Weinreis, a Beach native who attends Eastern Wyoming College, and his team roping partner, Levi O'Keeffe of Mohall, had a time of 13 seconds in the first round Monday.
