Midgets finish regular season with win at Glen Heiser Invite, Rambousek takes all-around

In her last meet in her home gymnasium, Dickinson High’s Dacia Rambousek captured an all-around victory at the Glen Heiser Invitational. The senior posted a season-high score of 37.775, en route to her third all-around triumph this season.

The Midgets cracked the 150-point mark for the second time this season, compiling a score of 151.225 in their regular-season finale on Saturday, Feb. 9, from Dickinson High School.

“We had another day where we had good events, and that’s the kind of thing that we are hoping to keep going to the postseason here,” Midgets head coach Kent Van Ells said. “

Mandan, the only other team at the meet, was second after totaling 129.05.

Dickinson gymnasts finished in the top-seven in each event. With a score of 9.75, Rambousek captured the beam, while fellow senior Meghan Ackerman and juniors Brinklyn Schumacher and Ayanna Fossum took home wins in the uneven bars, vault, and floor exercise, respectively.
