The Dickinson High School gymnastics team had a decent day in its second consecutive Dickinson Invitational. The team hosted four other teams and finished with an 147.475 team overall, nearly as good as it did the previous week.
“They’re showing that they can … come through and finish strong,” head coach Kent Van Ellis said. “They particularly … I would say in every event, they came through and finished strong, it showed some fortitude there, for sure.”
The Midgets were able to have a strong night overall. Senior Ayanna Fossum continued to help lead the team throughout the night, ending with an overall of 37.950. The team was also helped by strong efforts with Amy Fridley with an all-around score of 36.175 and Brinklyn Schumacher with an all-around score of 36.350.
The Midgets will be able to compete again on Friday, Dec. 20 in Mandan.
