The Dickinson State women's basketball team enters will enter the NAIA Division II national tournament with its highest ranking in school history.
The Blue Hawks (24-6) moved up two spots to No. 5 in the final poll of the regular season released Wednesday.
DSU won the regular-season Dakota Athletic Conference championship and defeated Black Hills State 67-64 for the DAC tournament championship on Sunday.
It was the first time in the conference's nine-year history DSU won both titles.
The Blue Hawks find out at 11 a.m. Thursday who they'll play in the opening round of the national tournament, which begins Wednesday, March 11, at the Tyson Events Center in Sioux City, Iowa.

It was also announced Wednesday that Black Hills State (24-7) and Jamestown College (20-9) earned at-large bids to the national tournament. The Yellow Jackets ended the season ranked 11th and the Jimmies finished 21st.
