HAZEN -- Michael Porter scored both goals for the Dickinson High boys hockey team Tuesday night against Hazen-Beulah, but it wasn't enough as the Midgets lost the West Region game 8-2.
Matt Porter, Michael's twin brother, had 46 saves for the Midgets.
"We played hard and played a good game," DHS head coach Tom Folske said. "We just couldn't get things to bounce our way."
With the loss the Midgets drop to 1-17 overall and 1-14 in the West.
Their first and only win of the season was Dec. 11 at home against Hazen-Beulah. Dickinson captured a slim victory of 4-3 that day and has lost 13 straight since.

The Midgets now look to Thursday night's game at Williston. They take on the Coyotes, at 6:30 p.m. Central Time in a game that will determine who hosts the West Region tournament play-in game.
The Midgets and Coyotes are tied for last place in the West.
