After strong showings at the Region 5 Tournament, three Class B girls golf teams punched their tickets to state.

The leader of the pack was the Hazen girls golf team shooting a 367 on Thursday at Pheasant Country Golf Course.

Kayla Lindquist and Mary Silverthorn led the Bison and each tied for third place with an 88.

Baylee Fitzgerald (95), Rachel Hansana (96) and Nikole Bitterman (96) rounded out Hazen's performance.

Heart River's Jada Mattson was the medalist with 82, while teammate Mary Hlebechuk finished runner-up with an 87. Both helped the Cougars to a third-place team total of 402 to qualify as a squad for the state tourney beginning May 28 at Bismarck's Tom O'Leary Golf Course.

Beulah also sent its team to state, finishing runner-up to Hazen with 396 points.

Jenny Zastawniak paced the Beulah Miners by shooting 93.

Bowman's Karly Palczewski and Mataya Seamonds qualified as individuals for state with scores of 89 and 92.
