KILLDEER - The Heart River boys golf team led the field at the Killdeer Invitational Tuesday at Medicine Hole Golf Course, turning in a team score of 301.
Joey Wagner’s 1-under-par 71 and Jayden Ewoniuk’s 73 buoyed the Cougars’ team score. Wagner tied for third at the event with Quayde Lee, and Ewoniuk came in fifth.
Beulah’s Michael Schmidt took first place with a 68, and Dickinson Trinity’s Willy Jahner placed second after carding a 70. Schmidt’s Miners took second as a team with a score of 310, and the Titans placed third at 321.
Stanley’s Seth Hetzel shot a 75 to claim sixth place, and Trinity’s Jaret Lee and Beulah’s Jase Sailer each followed at 76.
Seth Keator shot a 77 for the Cougars, and Tayden Jacobson’s 80 rounded out the team’s scoring. Trace Jacobson shot an 84, and Jett Mattson followed with an 89.
Dillon Praus shot an 87 for Trinity, and Peter Pavek shot an 88 to complete the Titans’ scoring. Matt Tessier shot 103, and Cole Fitterer finished at 104.
