Heart River golf cruises at Bowman Invite

BOWMAN -- The Heart River boys golf team ran away with first place on Friday at the Bowman County Invite at Sweetwater Golf Course, posting a combined score of 302.

BOWMAN - The Heart River boys golf team ran away with first place on Friday at the Bowman County Invite at Sweetwater Golf Course, posting a combined score of 302.

The Cougars four scorers all ended in the top five of the individual standings, led by senior Joey Wagner’s 69. Junior Jayden Ewoniuk was next with a 76, junior Trace Jacobson was third with a 77 and sophomore Jett Mattson was fifth with an 80.

Bowman County freshman Andrew Narum was fourth in the individual scoring with a 78, which helped the host Bulldogs to a 352 team score and second place.

Dickinson Trinity placed third as a team with a score of 369. Eighth-grader Cole Fitterer led the Titans with an 85. Junior Peter Pavek and sophomore Ethan Hickel each shot 92, and seventh-grader Tyler Brusseau shot 100 to complete the team’s scoring.
