The Heart River Cougars, the No. 3 seed of the Region 7 tournament, won the third place place match against New England 25-15, 11-25, 25-19, 25-16.
Cougars sophomore setter Bailey Olson and senior libero Mara Obrigewitch fueled Heart River’s defense with 23 and 21 digs, respectively. Olson also added a match-high 32 assists.
The No. 4-seeded New England Tigers were led by sophomore middle blocker Hailee Kuske’s 11 kills (a match best) and three blocks.
