MILES CITY, Mont. -- Kalli Durham and Custer County controlled the clock Tuesday night and kept the Dickinson High girls basketball completely out of rhythm.
Durham, a senior who will play for Montana State next season, scored a game-high 19 points in leading the Cowgirls to a 42-22 victory.
Because the game was played with Montana High School Association rules, there was no shot clock and the teams played four 8-minute quarters.
"They slowed the game down quite a bit," Dickinson head coach Dan Pender said.
Dickinson (2-14) was held to season lows in points and shot attempts. The Midgets shot 7 of 25 from the field (28 percent) as they lost their fourth consecutive game.

They also committed 27 turnovers.
"We just had so many silly turnovers," Pender said. "We weren't looking to attack and then they slowed it down."
The lone bright spot for Dickinson was senior Jess Herauf, who scored a team-high nine points and surpassed 1,000 career points. She now has 1,002 points.
No one else had more than four points for Dickinson, which shot 8 of 8 from the free-throw line.
"We didn't look to score," Pender said.
Dickinson travels to Bismarck St. Mary's and Belcourt on Thursday and Friday, respectively.
