Hettinger-Scranton made quick work of Bowman County Friday, sweeping the 12th-seeded Bulldogs at home.
The fifth-seeded Night Hawks earned a match in the second round of the Region 7 volleyball tournament, where they will face fourth-seeded New England in the second match of the day Monday at the Knights of Columbus Activities Center. Their match will begin 25 minutes after the conclusion of the Trinity and Mott-Regent match.
Hettinger-Scranton senior outside hitter Lizzy Thompson had 15 kills to lead all players Friday, and junior setter Tayler Burwick had 34 assists.
Ellie Stafford, a freshman middle for Bowman, led her team with eight kills, while senior middle blocker Taylor Powell had three kills and three blocks.
