Chad Morsette, a senior guard for the Beulah boys basketball team, had 12 points, six rebounds, and three steals during the Region 7 Tournament Championship game. The Miners advanced to state for the second year in a row and fifth time this decade following a 48-46 victory over Dickinson Trinity on Thursday, March 7, from the Knights of Columbus Activities Center. Through three tournament games, the senior averaged 15 points per game and Morsette was selected to the All-Region team.
DP: What does it mean to be heading to state?
CM: "It means, heading to state, it's a great feeling for the guys and I. We always wanted it this season and we had to work hard."
DP: In the Region 7 Title game, Beulah defeated the Dickinson Trinity Titans. Did it make the moment any more special since it came against those guys?
CM: "Yes, it makes it more special, because we did it on their homecourt and it's tough to play here in this big atmosphere."

DP: When did you start playing basketball and what is favorite this about it?
CM: "I started playing when I was maybe like two or three (years old). And my favorite thing is just putting the ball in the hoop, dribbling, posting up, shooting."
DP: Who was your favorite athlete growing up?
CM: My favorite athlete was my dad, or LeBron James."
DP: If you had one thing that you would eat for the rest of your life, what would be?
CM: "The one thing that I would eat is Indian Tacos."
DP: What was the best movie or television show that you've watched recently?
CM: "The last movie that I saw was Den of Thieves."

CM: "I wear it cause my dad wore it and because LeBron James, of course."

CM: "Snapchat."
DP: Are you a good dancer or you a bad dancer?
CM: "Good dancer Native American-wise, but other than that, no."

CM: "Coke."
