Dickinson girls hockey qualifies for state with win at Jamestown

JAMESTOWN — With a 3-0 victory over Jamestown on Friday, Feb. 8, the Dickinson girls hockey teams sealed a spot at the state tournament for the second straight season.

Five minutes into the contest, senior forward Kennedy Kuntz put the puck past Blue Jays goaltender Erin Anderson. After assisting on that goal, junior defender Taia Klaman scored one of her own a minute and 21 seconds later off a pass from senior defender Grace Kraiter.

Just 1:17 into the second, senior winger Kamryn Kuntz put the Midgets (10-8, 8-6 ND) up 3-0.

Anderson made 20 saves for the Blue Jays (7-13-1, 5-11 ND), while Dickinson senior goalie Baylee Kram earned 18 stops.
