MANDAN - Dickinson High’s Jacob Ellerkamp took first in 50-meter freestyle at the Mandan Triangular Friday, as the Mandan boys swimming and diving team defeated Dickinson 135-37.
Ellerkamp finished the event in 23.85 seconds. He was also runner-up in the 500 freestyle with his 5:28.32 time. On top of that, he helped the Midgets’ 200 medley relay team of him, Jesse Avina, Legend Jankowski and Garrett Billings take third with a time of 1:59.47. Ellerkamp also teamed with Taven Wilson, Bailey Decker and Jankowski to take third in 400 freestyle relay with a time of 4:07.17.
Jankowski was fifth in the 100 backstroke in a time of 1:07.91 and the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:09.56.
Decker completed the 500 freestyle in 6:04.18 for fourth.
