SIDNEY, Mont. - Dickinson sophomore Madison Jahner collected a no-hitter for her second win of the season.
Jahner threw five innings, gave up two walks and struck out seven to lead the Midgets past Sidney (Mont.) 10-0 on Tuesday.
Dickinson’s bats backed up a no-hit performance from Jahner. Senior catcher Mackee Hoffmann was 2 for 4 with a home run - her third of the season - RBI and scored a run.
Rachel Jahner had two hits including a RBI double in the second inning. The senior shortstop finished 2 for 4 with three RBI and scored a run. Riley Cooper tacked on two hits and scored three runs, while Riana Cooper had a hit and two RBI.
Sierra Rohr and Avery Privratsky each had a hit and scored two runs. Rohr also supplied a RBI. Haley Butterfield, who picked up a 17-2 win in the circle on Monday, was 1 for 3.
The Midgets (4-0) continue its season traveling to West Fargo for a three-game series beginning on Friday. Dickinson plays Devils Lake at 5 p.m. Friday and follows up a Saturday series against defending state champions West Fargo at 10:30 a.m. and Fargo Davies at 12:30 p.m.
