The Killdeer football team, which is ranked No. 2 in Class 1A, used a 27-point first half en route to a 34-0 win over the Dickinson High JV on Saturday at the Biesiot Activities Center.
Trenton Rohr accounted for the Cowboys' first three touchdowns. The junior quarterback had a pair of two-yard touchdown runs and then connected with Blake Carbaugh for a 29-yard TD strike through the air.
Killdeer's Lewis Dobitz tacked on the final two touchdowns including a 70-yard TD run on the first play of the third quarter. Dobitz finished 124 yards on five carries, while Rohr had 28 yards on seven carries. Rohr also passed for 65 yards on three completions.
For the Midgets, Charles Splichal was picked off three times in the first half. The junior quarterback also rushed for 67 yards on five carries. Collin Roller, who gained most of his yards in the second half, led Dickinson with 71 yards on 15 carries.
Matt Kukla, John Knopik and Rohr each had interceptions for the Cowboys. As a team, Killdeer had 282 yards on a 45 plays. Dickinson was limited to 182 yards on 53 plays.

A majority of the Cowboys' starters were limited to the first half, because the team travels to No. 1-ranked Hazen at 6 p.m. Tuesday. The regular season finale determines which team wins the Region 4 title and takes home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. Killdeer and Hazen are both guaranteed at least one home-playoff game.
