KILLDEER - The Bowman County boys basketball team started the first quarter with a 7-point lead over Killdeer, but wasn’t able to hold on to it.
The Cowboys outscored the Bulldogs 15-1 in the fourth quarter for a 54-32 win in a play-in for the Region 7 Tournament Friday night.
Calum Blankenship, Hayes LeMieux and Trenton Rohr finished with 15 points, 14 and 11, respectively with Rohr making one 3-pointer. Blankenship had a double-double, adding 13 rebounds on the night.
For Bowman County, Tanner Fischer finished with a game-high 18 points and was followed by Chandler Braaten with six, Scott Bondon added four, and Cole Osendorf and John Yale each sank two points.
Killdeer is set to play New England at 4:30 p.m. Monday at Knights of Columbis Activities Center.
