BOWMAN -- The top saddle bronc rider in the world this season left his mark on the Bowman County Rodeo on Saturday.
Jesse Kruse of Great Falls, Mont., beat out local favorites Dusty Hausauer, Shaun Stroh and Clay Schaeffer win an 86-point ride on Cat Power to win the rodeo and a $1,912 purse. Hausauer, Stroh and Schaeffer each pocketed $1,062 for 80-point rides.
Kruse has won $128,501 this season.
Hausauer and Stroh, meanwhile, used their winnings to move up a place each in the PRCA saddle bronc riding standings. Hausauer ($59,946) ended the weekend in 12th place while Stroh ($58,056) is in 14th.
The top 15 bronc riders at the end of the regular season qualify for the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, which takes place Dec. 3-12.

Killdeer's Josh Bubel won the second round of the steer wrestling with a time of 3.7 seconds.
Robert Sperry of Trotters won the first round of the tie-down roping with a time of 8.5 seconds and won the two-round average at 17.7 seconds. He took home $1,798 for his work.
Cody Buller of Glendive, Mont., took home $1,759 for his winning 84-point bull ride.
Parshall's Preston Billadeau took the all-around cowboy honors and went away with $1,965. Billadeau and his team roping partner Bobby Harris placed in both rounds and the average and Billadeau placed in the tie-down roping's second round and average.
