MAYVILLE -- Dickinson State senior Nathan Lebsock had a game-high 26 points and was a perfect 15 of 15 from the free-throw line to guide the Blue Hawks to an 82-65 Dakota Athletic Conference win over Mayville State on Saturday night.
"Our kids made the extra passes tonight and found the open man," Orton said.
Four Blue Hawks scored in double figures Derek Pauley had 12 points and four rebounds and John Hanstad and Tevin Hurd each added 10 points.
DSU shot 32 of 40 (80 percent) from the free-throw line. Five players went perfect from the line.
"I'm pretty proud of the kids," Orton said. "We needed this to get some confidence back ... we have had a tough stretch here."

Shavontae Samuels scored 24 points and Ross Aman added 12 for the Comets.
The Blue Hawks lead at halftime 41-27. DSU's bench contributed 27 points.
"I can't say enough about our bench," Orton said. "They just played great and did everything we asked of them."
