MANDAN -- The Mandan Chiefs had the perfect combo against the Dickinson Roughriders on Thursday at Veteran's Memorial Ballpark.

Mandan starter Reid Jungling pitched a complete-game gem, while also getting plenty of offensive support in a 12-2 win that ended after seven innings due to the 10-run rule.

Jungling struck out seven and five allowed five hits. His only flaws came in the sixth when he allowed both of the Roughriders' runs to come home.

Dickinson designated hitter Jordan Tescher score one of the runs with a homer.

Mandan's offense came from a variety of sources.

He added a RBI double.

Sam Salveson and Brent Stoltz each went 2-for-3 for Mandan, with Stoltz hitting a RBI single.

Dickinson starter Taylor Kraenzel held the Chiefs (3-1 overall, 2-0 statewide) scoreless through two innings before Mandan took a 4-0 lead in the third.

The Chiefs' other three runs came in the fourth.

The Roughriders (1-4 overall, 0-2 statewide) get a few days of rest before taking on Grand Forks in a doubleheader starting at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Southside Municipal Ballpark.
