Mansfield leads Midgets boys golf after first day of state tournament

MINOT - After the first day at the Class A boys golf state meet, Dickinson High sits in 11th place with a team score of 326.

West Fargo Sheyenne leads the field at 299, and Fargo Shanley is right behind at 301. The meet concludes with a second round today.

Dickinson senior Aidan Mansfield shot a 5-over-par 77 on Tuesday and sits in a tie for 16th overall with seven others. Junior teammate Jerzy Martin carded an 80 on Tuesday and is in a tie for 33rd overall.

Davis Donnan shot an 82 for Dickinson, and Dylan Pokorny and Matt Schaefer followed with 87s. Hunter Myran ended his day with an 88 to complete the Midgets’ scoring.

Grand Forks Red River’s Adam Van Raden and Minot’s Cody Reynolds lead the individual competition after shooting a 3-under 69 on Tuesday.
