WEST FARGO - The Dickinson High softball team continued its hot streak on Friday.
Starting pitcher Haley Butterfield pitched seven innings as the Midgets dominated Devils Lake 8-1.
Butterfield allowed two hits, one unearned run and struck out 10.
Dickinson’s (5-0) bats back up Butterfield the third time this season.
Senior catcher Mackee Hoffmann went 1 for 2 with a triple and two RBI, while Avery Privratsky also supplied a base hit and two RBI. Madison Jahner tacked on two hits, one RBI and scored one run. Riley Cooper was 1 for 2 and scored two runs.
For Devils Lake, Jessee Rude was 1 for 2 with a double and a RBI. Krista Waldo scored a run, while Katie Aanstad had a hit. Alyssa Hornstein was tagged with the loss after going seven innings, allowed eight runs (six earned) and struck one.
The Midgets continue their road trip in Fargo playing defending state champions West Fargo at 10:30 a.m. and Fargo Davies at 12:30 p.m. today.
