JAMESTOWN - Dickinson High junior Sydney Charchenko finished in a tie for 41st place Tuesday at the East-West Classic at Jamestown Country Club.
Charchenko shot a 97 in the opening round Monday and followed with a 96 on Tuesday, giving her a two-day total of 193, tying her with Jamestown’s Mara LeFevre.
Dickinson teammate Jace Steier finished at 202 over the two rounds, and Shelby Steier carded a 232. Jace Steier followed her 100 on Monday with a 102 on Tuesday, and Shelby Steier, after shooting a 127 on Monday, finished Tuesday at 105.
With only three golfers, Dickinson was one of five teams that did not record a team score.
Bismarck St. Mary’s retained its lead after the first day, shooting a 334 as a team on Tuesday to win by 18 strokes over Minot’s 688. Williston was third at 700.
Gabby Easton and Sydney Smith, both of St. Mary’s, took the top two spots with two-day totals of 157 and 159, respectively. Morgan Hetleved of Grand Forks Red River was third at 163.
