Midgets left miffed by Magicians

MINOT -- Unable to slow its opponent's attack, the Dickinson High boys basketball team remained winless through the early portion of the 2018-19 season following a 96-58 blowout against Minot on Saturday, Dec. 8, from the Magic City Campus gym.

MINOT - Unable to slow its opponent’s attack, the Dickinson High boys basketball team remained winless through the early portion of the 2018-19 season following a 96-58 blowout against Minot on Saturday, Dec. 8, from the Magic City Campus gym.

As a result of 57 percent shooting from the floor, the Magicians outscored the Midgets by 19 points in each half. Minot was particularly lethal from three-point range, draining 10 of 23 shots from behind the arc.

The home team featured six players with double-figure point totals, led by 6-foot-6 junior center Easton Larson, who piled up 16 points. Six-foot-9 junior center Caden Johnson added a double-double after scoring 15 points and snatching a game-high 10 rebounds.

With the opponent’s size to contend, Dickinson was held to 37 percent shooting from the field. Midgets junior point guard Kobe Krenz paced the road team with 15 points while junior guard Jaiden Wright and junior center Tallon Klatt each contributed 12 points.
