BISMARCK - The top seed and No. 1-ranked Bismarck High held a commanding 29-point lead over Dickinson at halftime.
The Demons didn’t let up and went on to defeat Dickinson 78-31 in the quarterfinals of the West Region Tournament on Thursday at the Bismarck Civic Center exhibition hall.
Bismarck (18-2) had a trio of players in double figures. Courtney Trolliey posted a game-high 18 points, while Keisha Engelhardt added 15 and Ashlee Hilzendeger had 10. Engelhardt grabbed six rebounds and Hilzendeger nabbed five steals.
The Demons had 13 players tally at least one point in the scorebook.
Dickinson’s Meryl Kovacs posted a team-high seven points. Senior forward Sydney Gangl added five, while Lillie Meduna, Sierra Rohr and Raegan Linster each had four.
The Midgets play Mandan in the loser out of the West Region Tournament at 3:30 p.m. today in the Bismarck Civic Center exhibition hall.
