BISMARCK — The collapse of a pedestrian bridge over Magpie Creek has prompted officials with the Dakota Prairie Grasslands to close a section of the Maah Daah Hey Trail from Magpie Trailhead to Ice Caves Junction on the Medora Ranger District of the Little Missouri National Grasslands.
Signs indicating the trail closure are posted at Magpie Trailhead and Ice Caves Junction.
Dakota Prairie Grassland officials said they are surveying the area to identify a temporary reroute, and additional information will be released once a reroute is identified and completed.
All areas of the Maah Daah Hey Trail outside of the section between Magpie Trailhead and Ice Caves Junction remain open for visitor use.
