Coming off his second straight appearance on the All-Region 7 team, Mott-Regent forward Cody Perkins capped his career with a spot on the Class B All-State second team.
Perkins is the lone representative from Region 7 to receive All-State honors. It is the first time since 2014 that the region did not have multiple players earn that recognition.
Scoring his 1,000th career point during a win against Washburn on Feb. 19, the 6-foot-4 senior lead the Wildfire to a 13-9 record during the 2018-19 campaign as the team captured a first-round bye in the Region 7 Tournament. At the end of the tournament, Perkins was selected as Region 7 Senior Athlete of the Year.
