Rambousek, Deguzman perform well at U.S. regionals

BETTENDORF, Iowa -- Competing on the weekend of Friday, April 12, to Sunday, April 14, Dickinson High senior gymnast Dacia Rambousek and eighth-grader Brooklyn Deguzman showcased their talents at the USA Gymnastics Region 4 Championships.

BETTENDORF, Iowa - Competing on the weekend of Friday, April 12, to Sunday, April 14, Dickinson High senior gymnast Dacia Rambousek and eighth-grader Brooklyn Deguzman showcased their talents at the USA Gymnastics Region 4 Championships.

Each girl earned an overall score of 34.35 in their respective group.

Highlighted by a fifth-place finish on the vault with a score of 8.65, Rambousek was 10th overall in her Level 8-Senior 7 group. Her best score came on the floor exercise, where she took ninth with a mark of 8.95.

Facing off against 16 girls out of the Level 8-Senior 1 bracket, Deguzman also claimed 10th. She had her best showing on the floor as well, putting up a score of 8.925. Deguzman’s highest finish came on the uneven bars, where she tied for seventh with a mark of 8.55.
