A runner from Germany has won the men's division of the Fargo Marathon, while a Minnesota woman cruised to first place in the women's division.
The Forum reports that Oliver Hoffman finished the men's race in 2 hours, 28 minutes, 15 seconds. Saturday's race was Hoffman's first in the United States.
Lisa Dyer, of Moorhead, won the women's race with a time of 2 hours, 45 minutes, 15 seconds.
The Fargo Marathon is in its eighth year. The weekend includes everything from the 26.2-mile marathon to a youth run
About 24,000 people are taking part in events during the Fargo Marathon weekend.
