After guiding the Midgets to their second consecutive WDA title and fourth straight state championship, six members from Dickinson High gymnastics were selected by the region coaches to All-Conference team according to press release on Wednesday, Feb. 27.

Junior Ayanna Fossum, who repeated as WDA all-around champion on Feb. 15, nabbed her first career state all-state title one week later at the ND High School State Gymnastics Individual meet.

Ending their high school career as members of five state championship teams, seniors Dacia Rambousek and Meghan Ackerman also earned All-Conference team nods. Earning the highest single score on the beam on Nov. 30, Rambousek captured three all-around wins this season while Ackerman had the state’s best performance on the uneven bars on Dec. 7.

On the vault, the season’s best distinction goes to junior Brinklyn Schumacher, who was selected to the team, along with eighth-graders Amy Fridley and Brooklyn Deguzman.

Bismarck Legacy (3), Minot (2), and Jamestown (2) are the only other programs with multiple selections.
