BELLEVUE, Neb. - After topping Mayville State twice the day before, the Dickinson State softball team was hoping to keep the wins piling up against Bellevue University (Neb.) on Saturday, March 31.

In a close, low-hit game, the Bruins (22-15, 6-5 NSAA) came out on top 2-0, scoring both runs in the second inning.

Kaitlyn Kinman singled and scored when Kayla Young reached on an error by Dickinson State catcher Jordan Menke. Emily Gigax singled, pushing Young to third who scored two batters later on a sacrifice fly.

Blue Hawks pitcher Jalen Creech didn't allow anymore hits but Dickinson State (15-13, 5-5 NSAA) couldn't generate offense.

Senior Rachael Dillon and Mariah Gamboa were the only Blue Hawks with a hit on Saturday.

Bruins pitcher Erin Sharpe allowed just those two hits over seven innings, seeing no more than four batters per inning.

Creech could say the same, seeing no more than four batters per inning and dismissed five batters.
