MEDORA - The Theodore Roosevelt Nature and History Association’s 62nd annual Bird Walk begins early Sunday morning at Cottonwood Campground in the South Unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park.
The one-hour stroll starts at 6:30 a.m. and participants will be divided into smaller groups accompanied by birders as they meander along the Little Missouri River in search of as many bird species as possible. Each year, 40 to 50 species are typically heard or seen. Participants are encouraged to bring binoculars and field guides.
Following the walk, the association hosts a chuckwagon breakfast at the Cottonwood picnic area. Those interested in attending the breakfast should make reservations at 701-623-4884 or by emailing info@trnha.org .
