FARGO - After being shut out 7-0 by West Fargo on Friday, the Dickinson girls hockey team responded with an impressive showing against Fargo North.
The Spartans scored a pair of goals in the final two minutes to take a 5-2 win over the Midgets on Saturday.
Dickinson’s Kennadee Fritz scored the opening goal at the 7-minute, 33-second mark of the first period.
The Spartans responded with three goals as Kendra Johnson scored two and Rachel Johnson had one.
Dickinson’s McKenna Love scored the first goal of the third period, but Fargo North responded with back-to-back goals to close out the game.
Hannah Sivertson picked up the win for the Spartans making 20 saves, while Paige Fahlstrom was tagged with the loss and had 36 saves.
The Midgets continue their season hosting Grand Forks Central at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
