Jace Steier will have the opportunity to continue her golf career, and she'll be doing it close to home.
The Dickinson High senior has signed to the women's golf team at Dickinson State.
"I'm super grateful to be able to keep playing," Steier said. "It's even better that it's at home, basically."
Steier said staying in Dickinson was a major selling point, as was the chance to play for DSU head coach Thadd O'Donnell.
"Thadd's a great coach, so I'm excited to play for him," she said.

Steier was a varsity member for the Midgets for each of the last two seasons.
"I'm excited she has this opportunity to play at the next level," said James Hayden, the DHS girls golf coach for Steier's senior year. "Her work ethic and her competitive nature will take her a long way."
As Dickinson's only senior last season, Hayden said Steier's presence was quite valuable.
"She made practices really competitive and was ready to go every day," he said. "She provided a great example for all the younger girls that we had."
Steier plans to study exercise science at DSU.
