PHOENIX -- The Dickinson State baseball team dropped its fifth and sixth consecutive games on Monday, losing a pair to Wisconsin-Stout.
Brian Giebel and Ryan Stace hit back-to-back homers in the second inning to stake Stout to a 13-9 victory in the first game.
DSU relief pitcher Ryan Crossingham faced just one batter and walked him in the seventh inning, but took the loss since his run allowed Stout to take the lead.
Andrew Grafton gave up three more runs and the Blue Hawks couldn't come up with anything in the bottom of the inning.
Cody Holland hit a two-run homer in the game for DSU.

In the second game, the Blue Hawks fought back from a deficit to force a 7-7 tie with six runs scored in the seventh inning.
However, Greg Smolinski hit a walk-off single to score Giebel in the eight inning and give Stout an 8-7 win.
It was DSU's third loss by one run in the last six games. The Blue Hawks fell to 4-8 after starting the season strong with a win over No. 1-ranked Lewis-Clark State.
DSU's varsity has a day off before facing Mayville State in a doubleheader on Wednesday, taking on Augsburg in a doubleheader on Thursday and playing a nine-inning game against Southern Maine on Friday.
The Augsburg games will also include the completion of a nine-inning game that wasn't finished when the two met earlier this month at the Metrodome.
