Three Dickinson High football players named Class 3A all-state

Three members of the Dickinson High football team were named to the Class 3A all-state second team, as selected by the state's coaches.

Earning the honor were seniors Treven Hopfauf and Aanen Moody and junior Krew Mathern.

Hopfauf, a fullback and linebacker, was Dickinson's second-leading rusher with 424 rushing yards, and he led the Midgets with seven touchdowns on the ground. He also led Dickinson with 60 tackles on defense, including seven tackles for a loss.

Moody, a wide receiver, led the Midgets in receiving yards (423) and receiving touchdowns (seven) and was second on the team in receptions (17).

Mathern, a defensive lineman and a tight end, collected 43 total tackles, including seven for a loss, tying him with Hopfauf for the team lead. In addition, Mathern had a team-leading 6.5 sacks. He also had one interception. On offense, he led the Midgets with 18 receptions and racked up 267 yards and three touchdowns.
