MINOT - The Dickinson Trinity girls basketball team had back-to-back solid defensive performances.
The Titans second defensive effort on Saturday defeating Kenmare 57-14.
“We kind of challenged the girls a little bit,” Barman said. “There’s not always going to be times where we can do things in the full-court and we still need to be able to shut things down and be able to score offensively, and I think our kids did a great job of that.”
In the first half, the Titans came out and started with a full-court press and set the tone for the game early on. But in the second half, Barman switcher her defense to a half-court and found some flaws the team needed to work on.
The Titans don’t have another game until after Christmas break when they will play New Town and Minot-Ryan.
“We need to take our game to the next level and we challenged them on how they’re going to push each other in practice and make each other better in practice each day,” Barman said. “Hopefully come Monday we’re ready to go again and ready to beat up on each other a little bit.”
