WATFORD CITY -- The Dickinson Trinity girls basketball team used a strong third quarter to put Watford City away on Saturday.

Clinging to a 27-22 lead, Trinity outscored the Wolves 20-4 in the third quarter to take a 57-40 win.

"Again, our depth really helped us tonight," Trinity coach Alysia Hugret said. "Being able to throw fresh bodies against them was key for us."

Trinity senior Emily Gordon led the way with a game-high 12 points and teammate Marinna Marsh added 10.

It was still a game at halftime until the Titans busted out with a big third quarter offensively, while the defense held Watford City in check.

"We made a few adjustments at halftime," Hugret said. "We didn't have as many breakdowns, defensively."
