BOWMAN -- Katie Kovash scored a game-high 18 points to lead the Dickinson Trinity girls basketball team past Bowman County on Saturday night.
The Titans sailed past the Bulldogs 47-21 in what was their last game until the District 14 tournament.
"We tried some things defensively that we have never done before," Titans head coach Alysia Barman said. "And I think our girls responded well for this being the first time we used them in a game."
The defensive effort showed on the stat sheet as the Titans held Bowman County to six points or less in every quarter. The Bulldogs committed 23 turnovers and the Titans had 18 steals.
The Titans never trailed in the game as they built a 30-12 halftime lead and outscored the Bulldogs 17-9 in the second half.

"Andrea did some really good things tonight," Barman said. "We need a couple girls a night to score six or eight points for us. ... We have a lot of confidence in Andrea."
