Dickinson State swept the men’s and women’s team track and field and cross country North Star Athletic Association titles in 2015. The track and field teams won in May at the Biesiot Activities Center, while the cross country teams won in Madison, S.D., in November.
It was DSU’s women’s first ever cross country conference title. For the men, it was the first time since 2011 and second since 1978. Neither the men nor the women had won a track and field conference title for 34 years.
In track and field, the DSU men finished with 148 points and won eight of the 22 events. The Blue Hawk women scored 157.5 points and captured 12 events. In cross country, the Blue Hawks won the meets with 24 points from the men’s and 42 points from the women’s.
