WASHBURN -- The Dickinson Trinity boys golf team won its seventh invitational in a row.

The Titans finished with their top sixth golfers in the top 10 on Saturday.

Nathaniel Knopik led Trinity with a 78 and lost in a one-hole playoff to Brett Leier of Hazen for the medalist spot.

Lance Pender carded a 79, while Connor Friske chipped in an 80 and David Pokorny and Willy Jahner each had an 81.

Eighth-grader Jaret Lee placed ninth with an 83.

The Titans travel to South Heart for the Region 5 tournament that qualifies the team for the state tournament at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Pheasant Country Golf Course.
